Manifold Information

First Things First.

Please check your included parts

1x Beehive Manifold

1x Lid

6x Inlet Plugs1

1x 90-degree Outlet Tube

 Please wash before use!Hand-wash with warm water only!

Optional and not included - 1 x 290mm length Nylon Tube (Food Grade) to fit the bottom of the 90-degree outlet tube to your collection container. Cut the nylon tube to the desired length and drill a hole in the top of your collection container using a hole saw, making sure that the nylon tube will fit in neatly. (see picture below)

Select the frames!

  1. Select frames for harvesting, and place in necessary tubes into inlets
  2. Place the plugs into the inlets that you will not be harvesting when using the manifold.
  3. Place the Beehive Manifold onto the tubes (they should fit tightly)
  4. Fit 90-degree outlet tube onto cut nylon tube
  5. Place tube and 90-degree tube into the hole you drilled in the lid of your collection container
  6. Fit 90-degree tube into the outlet of the Beehive Manifold

Harvesting.

Now you can then start the harvesting process!

 

For best results, insert about 40-50mm of your key and open this amount at first. This should avoid flooding. Wait until honey arrives into the Beehive Manifold.

 

You can then open the gate and watch your beautiful honey flow into your collection container.

You can keep an eye on the amount in your container, by sliding lid of the container to the side to check.

When container is full, just turn off the gate on the Manifold, disconnect the 90-degree Tube, replace the drilled-out lid with a proper lid and seal. Swap with another container and place 90-degree tube back onto your Manifold, open gate & away you go again.

In summary...

Enjoy the easy-use Beehive Manifold. Once you first crack the frames and you are extracting, it gives you more time to do other things, like attend another hive, clean up or simply have a cuppa!
Once finished and you have reset your frames, simply remove and hand-wash the Manifold using warm water.
